Tell us what happened.

Include your app version, iPhone model, iOS version and a short description of the issue. If you attach a screenshot, hide personal details and financial information first.

Never send your backup passphrase, bank credentials or unnecessary financial records.

Backups and moving devices

Keep a secure copy of your backup passphrase separately from the backup file. We cannot recover a forgotten passphrase or decrypt a backup for you.

Backups contain photo references, not embedded images, so photos may not transfer to another device. Restoring a backup replaces existing app data. Save a backup of any records you want to keep before restoring.

Records and privacy

SpendSense does not require an online account or connect to your bank. Your financial records stay on your device. You can edit or delete transactions and goals in the app; exported backups and shared copies must be managed separately.

Notifications

You can control notification delivery in your iPhone settings and scheduled reminders in SpendSense. Turning off notifications does not itself erase information already held by notification providers.
